Procedures

Arrival

Please arrive 10 minutes before class to change shoes and prepare for class. This will help ensure your preparedness and that you won't miss any of the class as classes will begin on time.

Departure

Classes will end promptly, but before we are required to exit the space. This allows students to ask questions of the instructors following class. Please use inside voices and respect the students around you. Also, there are often other classes and events following, so please be respectful of them as they enter the space.

Registration

Registration is completed when both your payment and your information is received. Payment may be submitted by cash, check, or paypal and details for payment are supplied on the registration page. Under 18 must be submit a parental consent form which must be signed and dated by their parent or legal gaudian. See the Consent policy for further details.

Policies

Spectating

Spectating is allowed for NSB classes and workshops, but is not free. You must be a registered, paying member or guest of NSB to attend any classes.

Filming Classes

Filming and photography is allowed only with express consent of the instructor. If you wish to film the class, you must receive permission from the entire class. You may be filmed or photographed by a member of the NSB staff for promotional purposes. You must explicitly notify NSB in writing that you wish to be exempt from having your image used for these purposes.

Filming General

Filming and photography are allowed during the NSB shows, competitions, and evening dances. Use discretion when capturing anything outside of events.

Video dissemination

Public dissemination of video footage is not permitted without express consent from those who are in the film. Video recording is permitted, as defined within this document, for personal use only. This applies to, but is not limited to, instructor demonstrations, performances, and student classroom participation. Excluded from this clause are: competitions and dances.

Refunds

Refunds will be not be given out. Your pass is transferrable.

Consent

All attendees under 18 must submit a written (or typed) consent form which must be signed and dated by their parent or legal gaudian. All attendees under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of each class. Online Consent forms will be available for Workshop VI.

Risk

Dancing is a physical activity that can and does result in either overuse, indirect injuries as well as direct physical injury. You may get hurt. You accept all liability for the risk you are undertaking.

Liability

The attendee assumes all risk involved with dancing and assumes all responsibility for any damages that occur. The attendee acknowledges this risk and agrees not to hold NSB, the venue, instructors, or organizers liable for any damages received while participating in this event. Attendees may be asked to sign a formal policy and liability waiver prior to partaking in the class. Refusal to sign the waiver is a forfeiture of your seat in the class and no refund will be given.
